Fabiano Cudiz
Trumpet

 

Principal Trumpet at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Prof. Fabiano Cudiz began his musical studies under the guidance of Prof. L. De Cecco, graduating in trumpet in 1987 at the Conservatory J. Tomadini in Udine. He completed advanced studies with Stanko Arnold in Ljubljana Slovenia, and later won the first prize at the post-graduate course at the National Conservatory of Versailles, France.

 

In 1991, he was honored to audition at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and the Arena di Verona, winning the Principal Trumpet position at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, a position he held from 1991 to 2005. In 2004 he was a finalist in the competition for Principal Trumpet of Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, and winner of the competition at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, where he is currently engaged. He works with the orchestras of Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Teatro La Fenice Venice, the Filarmonica della Scala Milan, Turin RAI, the Comunale di Bologna, the Arturo Toscanini Symphony Orchestra, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and the Central Europe Philharmonia.

 

Prof. Cadiz has taught at the conservatories of Udine and Trieste, and currently teaches at Conservatorio di musica Nicolò Paganini (Genova). He works with various chamber ensembles, in particular with the brass of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, in trumpet/organ duo with B. Widows, and with the brass quintet SpilimBrass.
